Pokémon Whatnot Host
About J and J: Friendly, community driven game store in Glendale, Arizona. We stream Pokémon singles, packs, sealed products, and accessories on Whatnot. We care about good vibes, fair deals, building community, and making new players feel at home.
Role: Host lively Pokémon shows, grow viewership, and protect our brand by being clear, honest, and welcoming on camera.
Key responsibilities

Run live Pokémon shows that are fun, informative, and easy to follow

Plan weekly themes with product needs and engagement ideas

Maintain a clean Whatnot catalog with accurate titles, variants, and weights

Operate OBS or Streamlabs, switch scenes, balance audio, and record VODs

Update Canva thumbnails and create show titles and captions
-
Post pre-show teasers on our Instagram, Facebook, and Discord

Run simple, on-brand giveaways that do not derail the show
-
Stage post-show inventory so shippers can pick correctly

Provide friendly customer service and resolve buyer questions

Coordinate with the shipping team and help when needed to keep orders on time

What you bring

Confident on camera with a helpful, friendly style

Strong Pokémon set knowledge and card handling on camera

OBS or Streamlabs basics and light Canva skills

Social posting comfort and solid attention to detail

Inclusive, family-friendly communication and good follow-through
Schedule: 2 to 4 shows per week. Evenings and Weekends required. Target between 3 to 4 hours per show.
Compensation: $15 to $20 per hour DOE plus weekly KPI bonus. Bonus eligibility requires strict quality gates. See the next page for the full plan.
